Some unhealthy lifestyle habits such as having a poor diet and being sedentary can cause belly fat to accumulate. Most times you need to leave your comfort zone and make some small sacrifices, such as avoiding those foods that cause you to retain liquids (salty foods) and store fats (Processed foods).


Foods that burn belly fat

1. Apples

Have you thought about starting every new day with a yummy apple? Amazing! Right? Apples are rich in Vitamin C, flavonoids, and beta-carotene. These constituents are good for burning belly fat according to doctors and nutritionists. Eat up to 3 apples a day and you can also make a homemade apple juice and eat your meals with it.

2. Bananas

Bananas are highly rich in potassium, magnesium, calcium, and vitamins. This fruit contains between 75 and 130 calories. It is more of an isotonic drink in food form. It is of great importance that we take advantage of this at least once a day. When we include fresh fruit like bananas into our daily diet, we will not only lose weight, but will also improve our body.

3. Shellfish

Shellfish contains certain kind of monounsaturated fat that goes a long way in preventing fat from accumulating, and they are very healthy and rich in Omega 3. They are also very rich in vitamins, so you can eat them with anything. Though this might be a little expensive to eat daily, but I advise you try and eat it at least thrice weekly.

4. Avocados

I hear people saying that Avocados will make you gain a lot of weight. That is a lie. Avocados contain fiber which helps us get that flat stomach we want. Also, it contains oleic acid, a constituent that helps eliminate or delay the feeling of hunger. Try and eat just one avocado a day and it will help burn belly fat.

5. Cherries

Fresh cherries are good for the digestive system and the heart; they help lower cholesterol and supply uric acid; they also regulate the metabolism to reduce hunger and simultaneously help keep you healthy. They are rich in antioxidants. Cherry juices sold in stores aren’t fresh again and have lost their nutritional value. They won’t help you burn belly fat at all, they have been processed and stored for a while.

6. Tomatoes

Tomatoes reduce lipid accumulation in the blood. That’s why they cleanse the body so fat doesn’t accumulate. Making sure there is enough tomatoes in your meals will help a great deal in your quest to maintain a good body shape and burn belly fat.
